Description

Ten percent of the Vermentino is fermented in barriques and the rest in stainless steel at 10°C to preserve the intense and fruity aroma with hints of pink grapefruit and lychees. It is pleasantly fresh on the palate and the acidity is balanced by a good body. A warm but harmonious wine with a generous finish. A structured white in Mediterranean style, but with aromatic dignity and exceptional quality.

In Tuscany, the great wines are known mainly from Montalcino, the Chianti-clasico municipalities and from Bolgheri. From the latter come the famous "Super-Tuscan" wines, Tuscan powerhouses that, against the rules of the DOC, consist of non-indigenous grape varieties. Often a blend of Sangiovese with French varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Tenuta di Valgiano is located in the picturesque Lucca (DOC Colline Lucchesi), which is less known by name than Bolgheri but is certainly not inferior in quality!
