Description

This 'Tradition' is a delicious wood-matured, powerful bottle of red. Complex aromas of ripe red fruit and spices and a fine long finish.

Domaine Richeaume is managed by Dr. Henning Hoesch (art lover, philosopher and famous cellist and pioneer of organic farming in France) and his son Sylvain. Together they produce beautiful wines, including this remarkable 'Tradition'.

The farm has been working organically for decades, and now biodynamically. The estate uses only manure from its own flock of sheep, and compost is made from its own grape residues, among other things. The vineyards are located in Puyloubier and cover 25 ha.

A holistic approach, natural winemaking and biodynamic cultivation in the vineyards are for him conditions to be able to produce wines of very high quality.

Calcareous soil of red clay, the vines of the Cabernet Sauvignon are 26 years old, of the Grenache Noir 46 years old and those of the Syrah 23 years old. Yield of 25 hl/ha.
