Description
Rich Friulano with a fresh and soft mouthfeel & notes of almond, honey, anise and warm flint. But this wine also has an earthy, mineral side. Very complex.
The grapes come from " Galea" a vineyard on the hills of Corno di Rosazzo, in the province of Udine, along the Slovenian border.
Delicious with fish, shellfish, risotto, celeriac and asparagus.
Ferdinando Zanusso makes clean and pure vin nature. With yields of only 20hl/ha, vines of 60-80 years, spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no clarification, no filtration and long maturation in stainless steel tanks and barrique. For this he uses exclusively the old indigenous grape varieties of his region Friuli.
Friuli is located in the far northeast of Italy and borders Austria and Slovenia. The region is known for its fine white wines from Friulano, Ribolla and Malvasia grapes.
