Description
Just like the 'Cien Lanzas' this is a red wine from the area around the village of Cenicientos, specifically from the 'Cien Lanzas' vineyards. These are the highest vineyards of 4 Monos and they slope steeply: the highest point is at 960 meters altitude, the lowest point at 830 meters. The vineyards are planted with mainly Garnacha Tinta, which are pruned like bushes and are surrounded by forests and gigantic boulders. Truly spectacular!
Please note, this is the amphora matured version of the Cien Lanzas, the 'Cien Lanzas Tinaja'. Instead of wooden barrels, the wine is allowed to mature in large earthenware pots. In the vineyard: Organic farming. Sandy soil with gneiss and pink granite. 60 to 100 year old vines, shrub planting at an average altitude of 900 meters.

In the cellar: Hand-picked grapes, cold maceration and spontaneous fermentation for 40 days with 100% whole bunches, maturation for 12 months in amphora. Minimal use of sulphites.
