Description
The traditionally Greek grape Ribolla came to Northern Italy via Slovenia. The wine is slightly aromatic, with a medium body. Salty, lemon peel, fresh citrus acids and floral tones.
Ferdinando Zanusso makes clean and pure vin nature. With yields of only 20hl/ha, vines of 60-80 years, spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no clarification, no filtration and long maturation in stainless steel tanks and barrique. For this he uses exclusively the old indigenous grape varieties of his region Friuli.
Friuli is located in the far northeast of Italy and borders Austria and Slovenia. The region is known for its fine white wines from Friulano, Ribolla and Malvasia grapes.
