The family estate Casal dos Jordões, founded in 1870, is located in the beautiful Douro Valley. The vineyards are spread over several plots in the municipalities of São João da Pesqueira, Casais do Douro (Sede), Ervedosa do Douro, Sarzedinho, and Castanheiro do Sul, and lie between 90 and 350 m altitude. Casal dos Jordões produces high-quality and pure wines with a clear stamp of this magnificent terroir.
Vineyards average 50 years old, planted in 'socalcos' (terraced structures) located between 200 and 300m in the Vale do Rio Torto in Cima Corgo – 100% schist soil.
Hand-picked and foot-pressed. Unfiltered, decanting recommended. Maturation in stainless steel tanks and 2 months in French oak.
