Description
Textbook example of a Côtes du Rhône Village GSM blend. Cherries, spices, soft tannins. Thanks to the absence of wood maturation, Lots of black fruit such as blackberries and cherries, good acidity, round tannins, spicy, wonderfully long finish.
Henri Pouizin is responsible for the wine production together with his wife Mathilde. Henri is now the fourth generation of organic winemakers on the estate. In the heart of the Enclave des Papes, the north of the Vaucluse department, Domaine du Séminaire is located, near Valréas at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters. On the hills near the town of Valréas lies the 100ha estate surrounded by forests, olive trees and lavender fields. Henri and Mathilde work completely organically and are increasingly developing a preference for biodynamics, also in the cellar where they use the lunar calendar. In the wine cellar, wood aging is never used, only stainless steel and old cement barrels, which ensures soft, spicy and fruity Rhône wines. Beautiful terroir wines, passed on from generation to generation.
