Description

Chasselas maceration of one month, sounds long, the chasseurs grape can take a lot. Fine, soft tannins and a nice spiciness. Distinctive orange from the Savoie.

After working for years for Dominique Lucas, Les Vignes des Paradis, David Humbert decided to start his own business in 2018. In the French Alps, on the shores of Lake Geneva, he cultivates 1.5 hectares of mainly Chasselas and Gamay. Chasselas is mainly known for producing fairly neutral wines. Wrongly, David proves. His wines are feather-light, clear, full of tension and have a beautiful salty minerality.

The domain is located in both the Marignan appellation and in Marin, where both have a terroir of clay and limestone. In the vineyards, the natural vegetation is embraced. He works completely biodynamically, without the use of mechanical agricultural equipment to protect the land as much as possible. No weed killers but ploughing is done with the help of horses and after the harvest, sheep graze.

Just started and already so beautiful. Not available in large quantities so be there early.
