Description
Le Tournebride, the pure expression of Sancerre. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes consist entirely according to tradition of a blend of 3 different terroirs in order to make a wine that is as complete as possible. Caillottes, typical for Sancerre wines consisting of a mix of limestone pebbles and clay dating from the late Jura and a terrior of limestone and one of flint. And so, a refined, fresh Sancerre. The light fruit and the soft florality are balanced by the fine acids. Furthermore, a mineral tension with apple, citrus, grapefruit and somewhat grassy. Perfectly balanced and of course very fresh and very, very tasty with a plate of young goat cheese or gravlax.
Gaudry, a young up-and-coming talent in Sancerre, produces top biodynamic wines here and has been DEMETER-certified since 1993. He is now one of the leading winegrowers in Sancerre. He works biodynamically in the vineyard, and as naturally as possible in the cellar, with only a pinch of sulphites added before bottling.
The Vincent Gaudry wine estate is located 4 km from Sancerre in the village of Sancerrois de Sury-en-Vaux. The vineyards extend over approximately 8 ha of which 90% is planted with Sauvignon Blanc and 10% with Pinot Noir.
