Fine juicy red wine. Spicy, sour, fruity, with a nice long finish.

The winery, which was founded by Diego Conterno in Monforte d'Alba between 2000 and 2003, is actually much older. Diego had already been active for 20 years with his cousins ​​Claudio Claudio Conterno and Guido Fantino. Today he is helped by his son Stefano. The vineyards grow Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Nascetta. Since 2006, the vineyards have been cultivated organically and partly biodynamically. Only since 2017 have all wines been certified organic and since the 2019 vintage also DEMETER (biodynamic).

The vineyard is located in Monforte d'Alba on the hillside that bears the name "Ferrione".

  • Character: Deep red colour, aromatic soft wine.
  • Quality mark: Bio-dynamic
  • Tasting notes: Nice fruit/juice, mild acidity, spices, black pepper, soft tannins, long finish. Good balance between acidity, fruit and tannins.
  • Wine & food: Stews such as hare and rabbit, red meat, pasta dishes.
  • In the cellar: Hand-picked, maturation of 10 months in oak barrels of 500 liters. Yield 55hl per hectare.
