Description
Boerse Cabernet Franc from the Grosbois family. Lots of ripe red fruit, light black fruit, spices, black pepper, a bit earthy and quite vegetal. Ripe, juicy, soft and spicy. The signature of the Loire, a tribute to the area where Nicolas and Sylvain grew up. The meat knives can come out of the cupboard.
The family estate Domaine Grosbois is located in the Chinon wine region, in the heart of the Loire Valley. The wine cellar is an old 15th century farmhouse converted into a winery. The estate itself covers a total of 12 hectares on the high slopes of Panzoult in Chinon. Owner Nicolas has been working organically for many years and is now 100% biodynamic (DEMETER certified). The vines are 40 years old and have a yield of 35 hectoliters per hectare.
Together with his childhood friend Philippe Mesnier, they started Domaine des Hauts Baigneux and the 'Les Tetes' wines in Azay-le-Rideau, Loire.
