Delicious mineral Chenin Blanc with a light creamy touch from Domaine le Pas Saint Martin. Golden yellow in colour and with aromas of roasted blanched almonds, honey and apricot. Floral and a cedar edge. Sultry and creamy, just as a casual day should look.
Domaine du Pas Saint Martin is situated above the troglodyte caves, the marl caves that were formed millions of years ago. These caves are very suitable as a wine cellar. In the Middle Ages, Protestants met here in secret. Laurent Charrier took over this domain from his grandfather and now runs it together with his mother Annick. They changed the wine growing to organic wine growing. The vineyards are spread out in the Saumur, Anjou and Coteaux du Layon.
Soil of limestone and flint, vines of average age 40 years, manual harvest, yield of 55 hl/ha.16 ha of vineyards of which 11 located on ' le plateau de Douces'. This parcel has a composite soil of a very chalky layer from the Jurassic period with a clay-rich flint layer (silex) from the Cretaceous period.
