Description

Bas Armagnac reservé 4 ans is a blend of different Armagnacs, the youngest of which is at least 4 years old. For four years, the Armagnac matures half in new wooden barrels and half in old wooden barrels to limit the wood release somewhat. The barrels are made of black oak, characteristic of the terroir of the Landes.
40% Alcohol.
Domaine de Laballe has been in the family since 1820. Traditionally, this best part of the Grand Bas-Armagnac produces beautiful Armagnac. But the soil also lends itself to a surprisingly attractive white wine. Very mineral, and typical aromas such as pineapple, peach.

Noël Laudet was in charge of the Grand Cru Classé Château Beychevelle for a long time and then continued to perfect the Laballe life and work on his own wine estate.
In the meantime, the new generation has emerged and Cyril Laudet, the 8th generation, has taken over the helm.

Sables Fauves is the name of the sandy loam soil, a cru in the Bas Armagnac of 20 km by 10 km, the concentration of oxidized iron gives a specific freshness and minerality. The grape varieties are given a cold maceration and ferment separately on cuvée under controlled temperature, max. 18°C.
In the spring after the harvest, the wine is bottled.
