Katja and Jens' plots are only 6 ha in size around the small village of Wendelsheim in Rheinhessen. Katja and Jens use a modern style of winemaking and have gained experience all over the world.
The basis for the later quality of the wine is placed in the vineyard. Lower yields are the prerequisite for juicy red wines. This Dornfelder is no exception. The alcoholic fermentation takes place together with the skins, so that the flavors of the grapes can be carefully dissolved. The result is a deep red strong wine that lives on the exciting play of young tannins and dark grape flavors.
