Description
The style of the wine is 'Sec-tendre' and has 8 grams of residual sugar. The wine is somewhat lower in acidity and therefore needs less residual sweetness to get a nice typical Vouvray sweet-sour balance. Too 'sweet' to be Sec and too 'dry' to be Demi-Sec.
Where the vineyards of the Clos de Rougemont extend, grapes have been grown by the monks of the Abbaye de Marmoutier since the 4th century.
Maturation for 4 months in barriques (small wooden barrels) then in stainless steel 'sur lie'.
Clay and limestone soil, manual harvest of the young vines.
