Description

Riesling Landwein from Langfuhr, an idyllically situated orchard directly on the Mosel, surrounded by forests and fields. Only accessible via a cycle path and a wealth of peace and quiet. Also found by the famous painter William Turner, who travelled here in 1839 and captured the monastery of Wolf in watercolour. Atmosphere impression: ' The Ruined Monastery at Wolf', Joseph Mallord William Turner, c.1839 | Tate .
The land is characterized by Devonian slate which retains the heat of the day well and through which the rainwater quickly drains. The roots of the vines cling to the ground. A dry and mineral Riesling, which opens beautifully after a little reduction, floral, ripe peach and fresh apple, with a soft salty edge.
