Gleva Estates is the umbrella producer of 7 organic wineries from Penedès. The wineries work both individually and cooperatively. Each winery has its own style. However, the winegrowers give each other tips for viticulture, vinification and work as a whole to give the area a better (organic) name.
The Alella wine region is only 10km in size and is located near Barcelona. The characteristic sandy subsoil is called “sauló". Sauló is a type of granite grit that weathers over time and has few nutrients, which means the vines have to fight even harder to survive. This type of 'stress' is actually good for the wine, it gives less but more concentrated fruit.

- In the vineyard: 3,700 vines per hectare. 'Gobelet' for the older vines, 'cordon royat' for the new vines. 2021 was a very dry year, thanks to the reserves from autumn and winter the grapes were still able to develop nicely.
- In the wine cellar: Spontaneous fermentation, Méthode ancestrale, without the addition of So2.
