Description
A 'cru' vineyard with a subsoil of marl and sandstone. There is a big difference between day and night temperatures, which contributes to the aromatic expression of the wine. Deep, intense sparkling wine with notes of peach, grapefruit, anise and petrol. Made from 80-year-old vines.
Ferdinando Zanusso makes clean and pure vin nature. With yields of only 20hl/ha, vines of 80 years, spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no clarification, no filtration and long maturation in stainless steel tanks and barrique. For this he uses exclusively the old indigenous grape varieties of his region Friuli.
Friuli is located in the far northeast of Italy and borders Austria and Slovenia. The region is known for its fine white wines from Friulano, Ribolla and Malvasia grapes.
