Unfiltered amber wine from Alban Michel from Languedoc. Blend of Macabeu, Grenache blanc and Muscat, three weeks on the skins. Small edition of only 300 bottles per year.
In the taste lots of tropical blossom and fruit in the nose and a lot lighter in the taste. Young mandarin, ginger, red apple compote, ripe pear. In short, lots of juice with a (lightly sweet) light tropical aftertaste.
Since 2005 Alban Michel is the brilliant madman of Les Sabots d'Hélène, these organic natural wines are each unique. “Du Raisin et Basta” is his philosophy, 100% grapes, nothing else. 'Ni Dieu Ni Maître Ni Sulfite' is a red wine of Grenache/Carignan/Syrah and is slightly sparkling. 'Ovni Tender' is a red Vin Doux Naturel, “Vin de Raisins Surmûris” Wine of overripe grapes, stopped after spontaneous fermentation at 15.9°C! This slightly oxidized red wine looks like a blend of Sherry and Amaronne della Valpolicella. The craziest wine and food combinations can be made with this intense wine. Alban's other wines are also special and are a bit funky within Vin Nature.
